earth hour, huh?

i watch my dad walk off humming
leaving the lights of the bathroom burning
and i wonder how long the geyser's been running
before i finally turn it off!

to cut down the mounting electricity bill
i now do all the reading by the window sill
and when i remind him of 'switch-off-after-use' drill
i am invariably met with an ugly scoff!
